I can pickup your computer from your home or office or you can deliver your computer to our home office at 5 Cowper Street, Wallsend (Newcastle NSW).
Computer fixing and repair services that we often do include:
- For computers with VIRUS AND POPUPS etc I can supply and install Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 and run a full scan to clean up viruses and spyware plus a harddrive cleanup of temporary files and a defrag: $125 inc GST
- For computers that are 'broken' with symptoms like, not turning on, doesn't load into windows, makes a lot of noise, gives random errors and such then I'll quote on the issue at the time.
So that you have an idea of the sort of costs for various services the following is an estimate guide. These prices don't include parts because without knowing what model/make of computer mainboard, ram, harddrive etc it's very difficult to give accurate replacement costs:
- Build a new computer; install windows, updates, drivers and antivirus: $150
- Format hard drive and install windows, drivers and antivirus: $150
- Backup and restore files for one user including email, favourites, address book, desktop and my documents: $35 per windows user profile
- Hardware install for example replace or install DVD, floppy drive, RAM, PSU, video or PCI card, modem etc: $50
- General cleanup including hard drive clean, defrag, check antivirus, windows updates, blow out the fans, PSU and case with compressed air: $50
- Standard fee for diagnosing problems, fixing issue, installing software etc: $50
- Standard hourly rate for work in office: $75
- Standard hourly rate for work onsite: $110
Every computer I service will get a free air cleaning to remove dust and lint from the case and fans. This will greatly reduce the chance of your computer overheating during the summer months. I can make house calls and be available for computer deliveries or pickups outside office hours if you are unable to arrive during regular business hours due to work, family commitments etc.
